How hard is it?
........... to pump something up to an internal pressure of 1atm?

Iatm doesn't seem like much as we are all walking around in it but I have no apparent recollection of equivalent scales of pressure or if it is a lot?

Sorry, I wasted your time and should have Googled first.

Normal atmospheric pressure is defined as 1 atmosphere. 1 atm = 14.6956 psi = 760 torr.

Well, that's buggered that plan up then!
