Now with my sensible head on, I've work for one of the countries largest department stores for 18 years and the golden rule is. If it's in stock buy it now, as it will have sold out when you go back. Keep the tags on it and if you see something better then take it back. I'll even let you in to a little secret, some people even wear things to a party and then bring them back.

Yep I would have to agree with that, oh and with such a nice dress make sure your fella makes a effort as well there is a reason its called Black Tie - obviously it doesn't have to be black.

ahhhh i see ok, well its been reduced to 35 pounds from fifty so i suppose buy it now, but i doubt i'll be able to return it if i buy it now, wear it then return it in february

Oh depends on how old he is, there are some nice funky colours around.

Although since the dress has black accessories then you could be right - black would be good.
