How I wish! My first ever ski trip was a week in Meribel at Christmas. It was magic. Mind you, it was raining when we arrived and that worried me a bit.

I loved Christamas Eve there with Father Christmas coming through town on his sleigh and the singing in the town centre. That's a proper Christmas. And gettingup at 8am Christmas day and being alone on the slopes!!!

I am sooo jealous. Have a great time.

I'll just have to put up with the 1.5 hour drive to Whistler, or if I cant be bothered to get up before 10 (or if I just want a couple of hours after work), I'll just stick to the mountains over the other side of the harbour.

I tell you, it's bloody hard work living here, all these complicated choices to make.

Think we are camping on a beach this Christmas so probably have a dive in the morning.

When the snow arrives at Picos de Europa (northern Spain) then I'll be off. As it is relatively close (500km) I can go just for the weekend. May have to leave it for late January though.

Might squeeze one in. We are off to the flat in the South of France next week and looking for something to do for a fortnight. Back after the xmas mayhem for New Year with friends then move house.......

Usually not enough snow this early though
