| Nissan Navara Anyone? Anyone got one? I'm considering having one as the next company van, just wondering what they were like for fuel? I've got a Mitsubishi L200 at the moment which does about 32-35mpg, it's the same size engine so just wondering how it compares. I have a distrust of dealer's specs. I guess I will now officially be a pikey Cheers, Stuart

| I've had mine about 2 months. It's never done more than 27 and averages 25-26mpg. I didn't think this was bad considering the size of the thing. My motorway speeds have been described as excessive though , so that won't be helping.I have the Aventura which is very well specked and is a good drive. I don't think it's as well put together as the Isuzu Rodeo I had previously. No problems with it, it just doesn't feel as solid. Next to an L200 the Nissan looks a lot bigger, don't know if it is, I never looked at the L200 as I don't like the styling. |

| I've got the pathfinder which is the same car really knocking around town i get about 28-29 mpg on a decent run around 32-35mpg i'm not what you would call a slow driver either. Had mine over a year now and love it

| My last L200 I did 180,000 without any problems exept gearbox failure at 140,000. The I have now I've done 58,000km in15 months and so far no worries. I've just driven with 800 odd kg of cargo and consumption went from 8.5 to 9.2l/100km. If have a large hard top to protect cargo. <if considering this compare the ones supplied with Navarra. In Portugal thesf accosries were limited with the Nissan. One of the reasons I went for the L200. Although the Nissan looks bulkier the cargo space was similar. If I remeber correctly it had a higher tailgate which my dogs wpouldn't have liked!

| My old 1989 Shogun was still going at 250,000 miles when I sold it and as far as I know it's still running as I used to see it about before I moved. I'm on the new shape L200 double cab. The 2.5 makes a big difference over the old 2.8 for fuel consumption. I haven't done a side by side but the Navara load bed looks a lot bigger and the sides look a bit higher. I'm actually quite surprised at how pokey the L200 is and it's a pain not being able to fold the back seats down for piling (for want of a better phrase) manky shite on. The double cab really eats into the load space in the back. Probably a daft question but does putting a top on it make any difference to your fuel consumption or performance? Feels like I'm losing a lot of space by not being able to stack stuff in the back without one. Chris, how does your hard-top work? There's no lock on the L200 tailgate so how do you make the back secure? I agree with the comment on the Navara interior, the dash is a bit like having a brick wall in front of you. Apart from that I do prefer the Navara to the L200, shame about the fuel consumption though. I'm going to have to pester a dealer for a day or two's test. Pathfinders look good but I'd get hammered for tax as (I could be wrong) they don't do a commercial version.
