Good points. To add to that - the only channels that don't overlap tx/rx chamnels are 1,6 and 11. So if your neighbours have all channel 11 based units then change yours to 1 or 6. Sometime if you move it to something other than 1,6 or 11 then some wireless cards have stress seeing the WLAN.
