Wink A year as a Posh pikey

Hi.

As the YD resident trailer trash, posh pikey's we are coming off site for 2 months.

So looking back on the past year have we missed our house in Wakey, who we have given to our son. No way!, do we regret moving to the coast, leaving our old way of life, all the bills and head aches of traditional house living. NO!.

Going back to the old house at Christmas only fortified our realization that that kind of life is not for us, we both have always been pikey's at heart.

Look to the left and the sea is there, if it looks OK a 5 min drive to Hornsea boat launch and we get the boat out and are off diving or sea fishing, look straight ahead and there are 5 carp lakes to fish, which I fish most days, look to the right and there is the site club with cheap beer .

And now we are coming off the site till March it is time to jump in the motor home for a couple of months in Spain, Portugal, France, or were ever we fancy.

Of course we will be diving and fishing just for a change.

So enjoy the snow frost and rain in good old UK, we are going South .

Good for you! When retirement comes Mr Helen and I have plans to sell up, rent abroad, buy a bigger motor home (we already have a small two-person one that we love), travel the world and spend the lot!

Good news! I'm pleased the "Trailer Trash" lifestyle worked out.

You are a very lucky man, especially as Mrs Ray loves it too.
I know she had a load of crap in her last job, sounds as if the move has made you both happy!

happy travel on the continent - taking the YBOD?
Paul

Good for you...we had a static on a site just outside Cromer which was open all year bar 8 weeks, and a couple in front of us lived there and went to Cyprus during the shutdown. If it were just me and Tracy we would have done the same in a heartbeat.

Safe diving,
Steve

Good for you. When I retire (a tedious 25-or-so years away), I have a very simple plan. Flog the lot and buy a verrrry nice boat; on which I shall live until I get sick of it. We'll sail it round the UK in summer and loiter around the Med in winter; or maybe the red sea...or maybe indonesia..the world is then yer lobster rodney!

Might even have a compressor and a J bank of O2 as well.

Hi.

Back from our 2 month trip to the sun.

Step back from the tunnel into the UK at the beginning of March, blowing a gale. sleeting, freezing, I wondered why all the other motor homes were traveling south and we were the only ones going north.

Next year back in April . .
