Its absolutely bitter here in Leicester, but still totally no sign of any snow. leicester does normally miss out, it seems to snow all around the City, yet never in it! I think we have some kind of microclimate here.

Break out the Santy Bells, it's snowing in Dublin too.
I love the annual 10 minutes of snow we get every other year.

Nothing in Glasgow when I was last outside or allowed near a window.

It's rubbish, but as long as there is some post exams to play in

The only problem with the cold is when I come in after running, things appear smaller than usual

snow lying

yup - snow lying...not a gritter or snow plough in sight..and I work in the city centre. Typical...plenty of warning..it is Scotland..in winter...and the council are completely mystified by this sudden layer of white frozen stuff on the roads...now...do I do the feet down paddle home on motorbike or get the bus?

I did that for 6 years, but had enough at the tail end of last year. Living in a dream house with 60 miles each way to work isn't fun - especially when Petrol's £1 a litre and you're doing 27,000 miles a year just to get to work thus your car depreciates like a shed.

Now I do 17 miles each way and it's much better
