| BA are fine. Much better than Malaysia Airlines who actually have a narrower seat. Airlines talk a lot about seat pitch but in my not inconsiderable experience seat width is just as important and in many cases more so. The key thing with seats is to know which seat is a good seat. This website gives a good indication. Welcome to SeatGuru! Your Guide to Airplane Seats and In-flight Amenities Once you know the aircraft type then you can select the best seat if you book early enough. With BA and some other airlines they allow you to go online and reserve a seat. Singapore and Emirates are probably the best airlines in the world for service. BA is still up there too in my experience. Business class is a great luxury if the cost is not an issue. It means you can use the Fast Track (not that it ever saves me much time really), the Lounge (great for pre-flight food/drink/relaxation, it means more privacy on board and generally you're not waiting for your bags for ages. The lounge will also tell you when to board so you can be last on the plane and first off it. On long haul routes such as this I have only very rarely found business worth the extra because the competition is not that fierce so you rarely see bargain business class flights. Usually the difference between economy and business can be a couple of grand although you can sometimes get lucky with a restricted business class ticket. Final thought! On BA World Traveller Plus might be worth considering. The seats are more comfy but and they give you a paper but that's it! Last edited by Scuttler : 18-01-08 at 11:52 AM. |
