| Singapore/Malaysia recommendations please It looks like I might be whisked away to Singapore and Malaysia at the end of April. I'll be doing a bit of diving but mostly travelling around and indulging in a bit of romance...... However...... I don't like being squashed in small spaces on planes and after travelling to Australia, I said I would never go on BA again. So...... what do you think is the best airline to fly with? Is it worth paying extra for business class? And where would be the best places in Malaysia to see? ![]()

| Being a native of Singapore I feel well qualified to answer this. I think your best bet is to fly with an airline who has 747's on this route (I last flew the route in 1970) - heaps more legroom etc than the older aircraft, and fewer refuelling stops. Can't beat BOAC although Singapore Airlines is well thought of. As to where to go I'd certainly recommend the botanical gardens in Singapore. Raffles used to be a bit run down, but I believe it has been done up since the 60's. Hope that helps -Paul |

I recently used New Zealand Air and they were excellent and had quite roomy seats, but I'm not certain they fly to SIngapore and their web site seems to be down. Chris
