I understand your angst but then we get police men retiring on invalidity pensions because they got a little stressed and people suing their employers following the death of a loved one who no doubt died a hero. Its a tough call as an employer. The line has to be the safety of the employee above all else. They can not be seen to encourage such behavior. However a formal reminder as to their responsibilities (boath parties should know the score) and an unofficial celebration pint down the pub should have been the end of it. Thats the proper British way. Which is why i feel there is more to this than we know. ATB Mark

| If you have ever been on the reciving end of the HSE I can tell you its not nice, they treat you like you are the primary person to blame and intimidate you, when all your doing is helping someone in trouble. There are things in life for which we need the HSE but things in this country have got a little out of hand. R |
