The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
Just watched this for the first time on a widescreen telly in the original (very) widescreen cinema format (wider than 16:9).

What a brilliant film when you see it like it's meant to be.

Does anyone know if there are real cinemas where you can go and see films like this?

Used to be one in Nottingham called the Gallery, on the same street as the Broadway, but it shut years ago. If you can get enough people together for a given film you can often have private screening anywhere, but it tends to cost...

Woz - you live not too far from a cracking local cinema called the Ritz in Belper that show classic films from throughout cinema history as well as modern films - in january they are showing / have shown Schindlers List, The Pianist, Life is Beautiful amongst many others. there is a good childrens cinema club on a Saturday morning to if I remember correctly.

We are going next Wednesday to see the Golden Compass - if we can get tickets.

I would like, if I may, digress slightly; in that while The Good, The Bad And The Ugly is indeed a splendid film, Pale Rider is a far superior example of the genre .

Both these films are good personally I prefere the Good the Bad and the Ugly however the Outlaw Josie Wales beats the both, in my humble opinium.
