Unhappy Who'd have thought it possible...

...but I've sprained my neck. If I wasn't in so much agony I'd laugh Basically, woke up this morning and streched and my neck spasmed, this was followed by the most pain I have ever experienced! I would not wish it on anyone. Been to the chiropractor who was great, got to go back tomorrow and tuesday. So, at the moment, I can't tilt my head up or down or look to my right. Got some exercises to do that should help and a cold/warm compress cycle to try out.

Don't wrestle with a pig. You'll only get as dirty as the pig & the pig likes it

I used to get this all the time. Now I see a chiropractor every 2 months and it hasn't happened since. Keep stretching, after the initial 2-3 days of PAIN!!!!

Oh, driving is more fun than normal, so not suggesting that you drive either!

I'm no expert but this sound like acute torticollis to me. I would go to the GP who might prescribe some valium. Once the muscle relaxes you regain full motion quite quickly.

Agreed - I've had this before and it is murder but clears up very quickly when the swelling goes down.

Cheers, Ant

My work colleague also fell off her chair at work about 3 months ago. She was trying to pick her handbag up off the floor. She fell off the chair and hurt her knee.

She goes into hospital for knee surgery next week and will be off for at least 6 weeks.
