What is 'veggie haggis'.

The way (traditionally) haggis is made immediatley takes it out of the realms of vegetarianism.

Removing any animal content must, by defenition, stop it from being 'haggis' and turn it into something akin to the vege option you used to be able to get at Ikea.


Veggie haggis reminds me of 'alcohol free lager' and 'decaffinated coffee'.

Veggie Haggis is lovely (can't be bothered with all that sheeps heart and lungs nonsense) it's a wee bit drier than the traditional stuff but still nice.

Yeh I heard Jo MacSween on Radio4 on the way home talking about the problems exporting offal to the States etc..... We used to live round the corner on Bruntsfeild place for a couple of years. I think they moved out of town a few years ago, Loanhead or somewhere.

Still prefer the carniverous stuff though.

Well to start off with you have to remember that Burns and Shakespeare were both Bards. The big difference is that Shakespeare is an international standard Bard whilst Burns is provincial / parochial standard.
