As far as I am aware, the Toshiba P100-434 (as with most laptops) has an integrated, soldered, attached graphics card. The specs on the toshiba site state that is it an Nvidia 7600 so I would suspect that you still have a Nvidia 7600 soldered to your motherboard. however the drivers might not be installed.

Try Toshiba's website for a driver disc. There is also a possibility that the 7600 in your computer is not supported by Windows Vista if that's what you have installed.

Toshiba Support Forums: Video and game performance Satellite ... might be worth a read, or other forum posts on that site

Toshiba Satellite P100 (PSPA6E) drivers you can get (XP) drivers here

Plus if you check the toshiba website (they call the P100-434 an PSPADE) you can get drivers for vista etc

Hope that helps, good luck!

Sounds like you need to download and install the drivers from either Toshibas Website or better still go to Welcome to NVIDIA - World Leader in Visual Computing Technologies and download and install the latest drivers from the manufacturer.

Also you should have received the discs with it that enable you to reinstall Windows and all the hardware drivers you could always try them but you would be better off with the latest ones form Nvidia.

Yep, reinstalled the drivers and sorted it, although needed to go via the Toshiba site as opposed to Nvidia for some reason. Thanks to all for advice!
Still an issue regarding a known fault on the sound card - might still have to take it back.
