Im hooked

I went boarding the week before last for the first time in Andorra and it was awesome. As the weather up here is so crap and cold for the first time in 2 years winter diving is on hold and xscape in glasgow is getting more over my money than my LDS.

Im now looking for another week end of march bring it on

I know what you mean, I got hooked on skiing a about 6 years ago - just loved it so much that I went and booked another week as soon as I got back. Awesome isn't it? Then I thought if I had to give up either skiing or diving, which would it be? What a dilemma.

Neither, as we have a perfectly good snowdome 30 mins if that drive away for when the weather is to bad to dive

snowdome or puddle

Don't know what's worse, snowdome or puddle.

I am a much better skier than diver, ( used to teach skiing) and find the snowdomes ok for an hour or so prior to a trip, but unless racing, wouldn't go that often. Kit testing I suppose maybe.

I guess the better divers think that re puddles also, wheras at my level I still enjoy them .

For a one week skier / boarder then I can definitely see the appeal of the domes. If only you had spent time on a dry slope, Hillend is up your way, now that is real fun!

but don't test your new skis in a snow dome because those travelator thingies will ruin them!!!!!!!!!

They are OK to learn in but you are down in 30 seconds.

You must have posh snowdomes down south, we got Poma lifts in ours, but I still wouldn't use my own skis.

On plastic the heat you can get is immense, knackers the bases in a very short period of time. I had one pair of skis for plastic and a couple for snow when I was doing it more often. Now I don't ski enough, so rent skis for the conditions when I'm there. I did get some lovely boots fitted last year though.
