| Running? Don't be daft, I let the bus get away! You'll be after us to sponsor you for that next won't you. Better pick a good charity.

| I ran a programme on the computer, ran some clothes through the washer, ran an errand, ran out of milk, and ate some runny brie. Do any of those count? God help you. Get off the computer and go for a run.

| [quote=MJH;849365]....So that gives me exactly 75 days to get fit enough Am I Mistaken (I often am) in thinking you did Tough Guy this past weekend? If you can do that, I would imagine you're fit enough for just about anything

| Yes I did Tough Guy on Sunday. So have a bit of a start. But that's only about 8 miles. Ran that np But I am no where near fit enough to run London. And have no idea what training I need to do. Any help would be appreciated |

| 2 1/2 months - plenty of time. What are you running 8 miles in currently? I trained but did not run the Y2K marathon due to badly busted ankle ligaments 1 month before the race. I only started training in the Dec for it, but I was regulary running 8 miles a day and was quite fit and active due to undergoing RCB officer selection at the time. Start your training now - there are loads of good training programmes on the internet. You need to start gradually increasing the mileage from your previous 8 to 12 miles within a week or two and work up to approx 18/20 miles 3 weeks before. I was advised not to puch much past 20 miles before the race, other wise wahts the incentive - you have already done it. I'll see If I still have my training programme when I get home. One of my mates did the last 2 so I will see if he can email his programme over. If I can get one ill PM you. |

You should be able to access the training program on the london marathon website. I hate to inform you but you are already roughly 6 weeks behind the training programme but as you completed Tough Guy it might stand you in good stead. Good Luck! |
