Don't bother with Capernwray today
Sounds like the M6 is horrendous this morning, they have closed the motorway between junction 36 and 44. Apparently there have been a few accidents due to the very strong winds.


Where I am it is pretty bad to, strong winds, horizontal hailstone and lightening - sounds like a day to stay in.

We have clear skies and calm sunny days here in Cambridgeshire. Cambridgeshire County Council sold the bad weather to Catterick Garrison last year so the new recruits don't have it too easy.

Hadn't heard that but I wouldn't want to be in a lorry when it turned over.


Apparently Woodhead pass is also closed and Snake pass has been closed all week, so there is no route across the pennines except the M62.
