Weather near Capers for the weekend

As a number of us are thinking of venturing over to the muddy puddle I just wondered if there were any YD'ers out there near the area who can give us a "real idea" of the weather.

Its not s'posed to be brilliant and particularly some of the trans penine roads may be a bit dodgy.

I am 45 minutes away if you consider that near to Capers and at this precise time its just clouded over and extremely strong gusts of wind is evident. Or should that read strong gusts of winds are evident? UPDATE: Its is now almost pitch black the world is coming to an end and hailstones the size of small pellets are travelling almost horizontol!! I so wish I hadnt said I would visit my mate.

Short of ringing somebody up and checking the real 'weather', the 'Jam Cams'
on the M6, at least give you an idea of what its like.

The nearest to Capers, I can get is the Preston area.

My sister was trying to get to the Lakes for teh weekend and they got turned back on the A66. She's never driven in such a white-out. No Capers for us this weekend

Better luck next time eh, Helen. I'll get to the muddy puddle yet. Can't say I've missed it in the 2.5 years I haven't been.
