How our male ancestors must have longed for a bit of low level deforestation??
It crossed my mind this evening that living closer to nature, as our ancient ancestors surely did, must have been very painful for the lustful males.

Obviously, people didn't travel so much in the old days (which was probably a good thing?) as there can be little doubt that a nomadic male, unaccustomed to foreign parts, was likely to receive a severe scratching if rummaging through a strange bush.

Doubtless, such wanderers were the inventors of ungents and balms to relieve such discomforts and, possibly, marriage to alleviate the itch?
