I found this link earlier whilst looking for something else. For those who detest the vile, rancid slime as much as I do, it's good to know that even those depraved sadists who manufacture the foul substance admit that it's not universally enjoyed.

ahh now we hit a paradox.

i love marmite but hate the squeezy bottle.

one of lifes tiny pleasures is scrapin round the inside of the marmite jar with a knife getting the last scraps out. then rinsing with boiling water and shaking the jar ( lid on of course pedants) and putting nto a nice guinness gravy. mmmmmmmmmm

I had an Aunt who worked in the marmite (or was it bovril?) factory. We had massive catering jars of the stuff in a cupboard at home - it used to make me heave just looking at it.

Well I have no problem with bovril, in fact a nice steaming mug of boiled up cows can be really warming after a winters dive. It's the other stuff that's so, so wrong..
