I actually think that if someone loves you, they shouldn't even need to say it - you *should* just know by the way they are. But we all like to hear it from time to time. Valentines Day is supposed to be for secret lovers to adivse the person they love as they may not know. These days, it is just another commercialised hallmark day.

Done properly, Valentines day can be the most romantic day of the year, and the one day that the so-called non-romantics get licence to make gestures.
