| Has anyone skiied in Whistler? Missus Woz is pushing like crazy for us all to go to Whistler in April for a whoosh down the slopes. Anyone been there before? We're beginner skiers (i.e., shit).

Shitty life, eh? Oh and rather worryingly it's the same price to go to Whistler as it is to go to stinking France with all their strikes and garlic eating.

| I've been 3 times to Whistler and it's excellent. There's skiing for all levels from complete novices to off the scale extreme skiing. Lift system is good and quick, although a few of the lifts can get long lines forming at weekends. It's nothing like Europe though as they adopt a "British" approach to queing. Can't fault the apres-ski, although because of the time change you do get pretty tired by 8 o'clock in the evening and you're awake far too early in the morning. The ski and snowboard school is top notch as well and if you're a beginner I'd recommend a few days of lessons with them as it'll bring your skiing on leaps and bounds. Any specific questions just ask. Hope this helps. Neil |

| I've been to Whistler a couple of times and the skiing is fantastic. There's enough variation to keep begginers and experienced skiiers busy. The atmosphere is also great. Canadians just seem more genuine then Americans and the lift queues, if they exist, are much more civilised than in France. We had some beginners with us on our last trip and they loved it.

| Whistler is fantastic! The only downside is the long travel to get there. Jet lag and all that! Rob |

| Right. *deep breath* Thanks for all the advice. Holiday about to be booked. Wish me luck. *sigh* another fcuking dangerous and expensive sport to pay for. Why can't Missus Woz like table tennis?
