Frogs

What is it with frogs tonight?

I bully my poor old dog into going out in the garden last thing and I spot a couple and start counting and made 22, obviously out to fill my pond with tadpoles as a lot were, well, in pairs.
Sometimes I see one but 22? And that's without doing much more that wave a torch round the patio, the lawn and the pond. Grief knows how many there really are.

I spotted just the single one whilst walking the pooch last night. Hope it doesn't freeze for the little fellas.

I don't know about frogs but I heard Geese passing overhead while lying in bed waking up is morning and thought "the geese are back"
Then passing through Runnymede on the the way back from Wraysbury there must have been at least a hundred of them hanging out on this one bit of green.

I've seen, and fed, a fair few wild, Canadian geese but I don't think I've ever seen so many in one place

The leaves all went red and fell (blown) off my maple tree.

Here we go again.

I think it will soon be time to order the Seaskin. I'm 47 in 2 months and I've had the Protec since 2001, so I think it's about time.

(I'd better wait a week or two for the dust to settle from the new boat purchase first though)

Go to Dinton Pastures in the summer time and there are about a zillion all desperately trying stuff themselves full with all the bread that gets chucked in the lake. The main 'feeding area' stinks of a combination of mouldy bread and bird poo.

I doubt there's that much meat on them actually. A lot of good cooking fat though

I found a dead frog on my car bonnet surrounded by poxy muddy poxy cat poxy paw poxy prints + some scratches!

If I ever catch that cat I'm going to make myself a furry codpiece!
