| Monty gets his gun out What's on - National Geographic Channel UK Just seen an advert for this. Monty and an Archeologist guy putting various weapons to the test. Looks like it's going to be a fun program This is another description... NGCI Commissions OSF for Perfect Weapon WASHINGTON D.C., February 1: National Geographic Channels International (NGCI) has commissioned Oxford Scientific Films (OSF) to produce a new six-part series examining the science, technology and history of weaponry, titled Perfect Weapon, which is distributed by Southern Star International. Each hour-long episode features a different category of weapons, as the presenters—ex-Marine Monty Halls and Bristol University academic and weapons expert Stuart Prior—study its origins and examine its evolution. The series will premiere on National Geographic Channel in the U.K. on March 4 at 9 p.m., and will air globally later in the year. The executive producer for OSF is Paul Sen and Sydney Suissa is the executive VP of content for NGCI, while Tim Usborne serves as the series producer. Southern Star International will launch the series at this year’s MIPTV. Clare Birks, the CEO of Southern Star Entertainment UK, said: “We are really delighted to be working again with National Geographic Channel on this exciting new series. The format is very innovative and combines a ‘hands-on’ practical approach with fascinating stories from history”. Sydney Suissa, the executive VP of content for NGCI, said, “Perfect Weapon engages viewers with its dynamic combination of demonstration, military history and strategic analysis. It's a very innovative and contemporary way to understand how human ingenuity decided these epic battles”. Paul Sen, the executive producer at OSF, said: “We will find out how the ‘Perfect Weapon’ is made, how it works and how it forged human history.” —By Kristin Brzoznowski

| I heard a few ads for this and thought it sounded rather good I mentioned it to Monty on Sunday and he was most animated describing it and clearly had a fun-filled time making the programmes. So I'll be watching, or videoing ............ places to see, people to do 21:00 Nat Geo
