Easy prick layer?

I had a bit of a bad night and was lay on the sofa channel surfing about 4 am today. There was a Teleshopping program on one of the sports channels and it was for the brick laying gadget thing - Bricky Tools

Has anyone tried one? Are they worth the effort? I really like the line widgets for fixing to the end of each course.

I was also thinking of getting the extra DVD's in case they some information I could really use rather than just telling the obvious.

Are all modern bricks/blocks the same width?

[edit]Silly me, I appear to have made a titular spelling booboo!

No they aren't, I built a house in Falmouth, Tasmania, out of mudbricks - they were 425 long x 250 wide x 125 high, mortar joints were 25mm wide/deep and each brick weighed 23kgs, we made them and then I laid them, nearly 3000 of them.

The bloke who bought it off me actually turned the garage, (which we built first as a trial run, then lived in while we built the house) into a holiday chalet. There's some (poor) photos on here, with some views of the actual house if you click on "more photos".

It was a terrible wrench when we sold it.
