Well, mate, phewph, the enormity of the question, the major impact such a thing might have on ones life, I mean, the implifications and ramificosity of such a thing - were it even a possibility to actually be in a position to have Benards watch - astound, and, ultimately, silence me!

Bernard? Which Bernard?

Veteran commedy actor and wombles narator Bernard Cribbins?

Loathesome racist Bernard Manning?

Patron saint of ..err.. big dogs or something St Bernard?

Junk food magnate and turkey mutilator Bernard mathews?

I've run out of Bernards now.

it was a tv show when we were younger. this kid finds a watch, and he can stop time with it. he always uses it for boring things tho, like catching up with his home work or getting to school on time.

Aha, that will explain my ignorance. I was married nine months before you were born.

Actually, that doesn't sound quite right, does it?

Anyhoo, I was a child bride. Obviously.

The critical issue with the aeroplane puzzle is that the engines do not drive the wheels, they free-wheel; the engines drive through the air.

In this film even the pilot thought he would stay on the ground.

perhaps this wraps this Firday debate up now ?

What about this one – If an object that’s moving forward hits something larger travelling towards it causing the first object to stop surly the second object must also stop i.e. a fly travelling forward at say 12mph and hits a solid larger object travelling towards the said fly must cause the fly to stop travelling forward and start travelling backwards. If this is so the fly at some point must have stopped - not going forward and not going backwards. During this speed reduction, stopping and then reversal it would be in contact with the forward moving object. So if we were to give the large object a name, say for argument sake call it a train that would give us the answer that a fly colliding with a train would stop it.

See my question is almost diving related. If you could breed glassfish really big, could you make transparent fish fingers?
