For example, whilst you or I enjoy nothing better than a good days diving followed by a decent single malt or two, they take great delight in dealing with a big pile of ironing and watching eastenders. Clearly there is no logic to this so to try to apply logic to predict the behaviour of your paramour is quite unhelpful. I suggest instead that you use her abscence to procure a large bunch of flowers from your nearest petrol station, (and some barbeque charcoal too if it's on offer) and visit your local Aldi where there are some particularly good deals on Ruwandan cabernet shiraz at the moment. Seeing such splendid offerings upon her return, your ladyfriend could not fail to be impressed and is bound to come up with the goods. Possibly more than once. I trust that will help.

Frosty - you are so out of date it is untrue. Nowadays a woman is capable of getting her own flowers and wine. She will then spend many happy hours arranging the said flowers whilst chilling the wine (if appropriate) for her beloved. Ahoy would be better off saving his money and spending it on shiny dive bits - the young lady would understand that and appreciate that he respects her for herself and that she is able to decide which flowers look nice together. The good thing for Ahoy is that Leap Day has just gone and so any popping the question is down to him as with such delightful romantic actions as have suggested she is virtually certain to be very eager to tie the knot.

Sober reflections:
1) Nice lass who has made it clear, although I won't share details, that I should look fwd to her coming back...
2) Attempting to read and interpret the mind of a woman, esp as i've not known her long, is foolish
3) Thanks for the comment!

I shall simply eat curries, drink beer and suffer work in the meanwhile.

Women. More addictive than cocaine? The only way to overcome their womanly wiles is to become captain of the Enterprise?

Dont be a sap, get out and ride anything that comes your way, then blame it on her for going away and that whatever she has planned had better be good otherwise you'll do the same again.

Treat them mean, Keep them keen :-)

P.S I hope mrshappychappy doesn't see this post otherwise I will get my knackers cut off.

Having been engaged 5 times (Never got the rings back)
Married twice(2nd one still on) and 2 kids that turned out to be less than normal I'm probably not the one to give advice on reading the early signs.

If i had two weeks to dwell on the outcome i'd probably be in Ibiza now "Discoing away" You can tell my age It's called clubbing now isn't it.

Spend the time having a wild party.
