Its that time of year again...

No not bathtime (regardless of if i need one or not), we are off to get our bottom painted red, or rather the boat is unless i get in the way when they are doing it and then yes, maybe my bottom will get painted too - although i dont have to worry about barnacles as much as the boatie does

Its all rather stressful, we have to get to Fraserburgh which is a 12 hour journey south, past Beatrice Oil platform and its windmills and then into the most awkward harbour in the known universe. Monday we should be going up on the very nice ship lift and into the yard to get the boat a nice new coat of paint.

So at 10.30 tomorrow think of us tootling down the flow towards Fraserburgh and probably feeling really rather puketastic through the Pentland Firth (where you play dodge the supertanker )

Good luck, and looking forward to seeing the refurb in August.

I hope Pentland Firth is behaving coming up to Orkney on Thusrday, and crossing on Pentland ferries.

Safe journey to you both...

probably not much consolation but the moray firth near lossiemouth (not sure how close in to us you'll be sailing) is rather calm today, no white water which makes a nice change from recent days and weeks.

Presumably they will have to scrape your bottom first before painting it red? Ouch! Safe journey to you both.
