| £40 on a boat £40 on fuel for the car £15 on drink/food £30 on accomadation for the night £6 on parking doesn't seem that much, especially if you are sharing a car, so only £3 each.

| £6 per day - well not cheap but in Brighton last monday a mate was there in a NCP car park for a concert. When she got back to the car the charge - which she hadn't checked out before - was 75p for each 15 mins. She was there for about 4 hours?? The councils and NCP seem to have a licence to print money.

![]() Wasn't there something on the news the other day about councils actually reducing the amount of double yellow lines on the roads? Ah, here it is. Wonder what the council tax bill is in that area though ![]()

| Thats not quite a valid argument though, you pay to enter Stoney, as proved last summer when people were actually parking on the street and paying as they walked down from the street to the water! Whereas the car park at Portland is just a car park, not an entry requirement for getting on a boat.

| I don't disagree with you there, especially with those two handy parking spaces where the old gateway in used to be Mind you, these days they have attendants up in the top car park most of the day, so I don't think you'd get away with it now!
