Now this thread has really got my feet tapping! I can't add to any of the brilliant songs that have been quoted, but I have noticed that the majority of songs with great intros are falling into the "rock" genre. I LOVE rock music. It's the best, and this thread kinda proves that, as do all the other music bests threads.

So what about "pop" music, or rap, or soul, or R&B??? Can anyone think of a song in these genres that has a great intro? Surely there must be a good one out there???

Or is rock really the only music to listen to????

I keep harping on about Thunder, and only a few have heard them, but there's two of their songs that have great intros!

She's so fine:-



and Don't Wait for Me:- (This song is fantastic played at full whack whilst driving along along a very empty and dark motorway at night doing top speeds - not over 70 of course!!!! )



I couldn't find a video with them actually playing it live, but the music is the same, just hope you can stand watching McGuire and the lass out of Spiderman! Oh and listen to the track all the way through. There's a crescendo towards the end that just makes my whole body soar! This is my all time favourite song. Ever!
