Wraysbury - Lunch

hi

does anyone know of somewhere around wraysbury that does a fair to decent lunch. And actually, whilst we're at it, if anyone wants to join GLOC and I for a bite to eat this wednesday before hitting wraysbury for the day, they are more than welcome to join us and laugh at the pitiful thimble-sized salad that we will both no doubt select.

sigh

The Perseverance used to do good food last year- pretty decent chilli, pub food etc.

Arthur's cooking is normally pretty good as well

Defo agree with MJH - Swan Inn across the Staines Bridge, if you want a nice long sit down meal rather than a quick bite and social catch up
probably the poshest place in Staines!

parking is really tight in the evenings when I go
maybe leave one car at Sainsbury over the round about and take one car to the Swan

there are two all you can each oriental like places in Staines and the usual nandos, pizza, rib joint, ask, franchesca, all the pubs serve food - and there are quite a few
there is a korean
I can't believe the yellow river cafe closed

OutBack is ok - right across the river from the Swan, car park across the road

I only know two pubs in Wraysbury

Whats wrong with a bacon sarnie at the lake?

The only better place to eat is my house - i'm flooded again!

I'd probably go to OutBack and you can sit by the river or Ask
But, I'll be in the office 2.5 miles away and we have free lunch!

Arthur cooks a lot more than just bacon sarnies

He is likely to have a special on that day

We had roast dinner on Sunday

I've eaten at the Swan, not bad... let me know where you intend to be and I'll join you, after 9 days of 14 hour days and my body clock screwed by 3 countries in the last week tomorrow is a TOIL day off.
