Rip off tyre prices

I just had a new tyre fitted £67 for a 205/55 V 16 (inc fitting etc). . is that a good price for a Goodyear NCT5 ? . . . considering Kwik F8rt wanted £92!!!! Has anyone else noticed how much over priced these so call national "bargain" places are? Sorry if I've upset any tyrefitters but I won't make a song and dance over it . . .

Best I got off the net was £64.50, so that doesnt sound too bad.

kwik fit are a total rip off !!! kwikfit go on the prediction that most people who go there haven't a clue and work on there nicely nicely image.

You can get better than a kwikfit fitter!

Tyres are another item that is so strictly regulated that retailers can get away with charging shedloads...

Best place I have found is Tyres online @ Blackcircles.com: discount tyre dealers for car tyres, 4x4 and motorbike tyres where you can get a fitted price or delivery only. Strange thing is, the fitting centres are local and 9in my experience) have always charged far more when approached direct!

I have used these guy,s a few times,,very fast delivery,,local guy fits and balances for a fiver,,,,,

They come out to wherever you want and fit there, and they are usually cheaper than the rest and usually next day.

Tyres 40% Cheaper than leading tyres depots, free mobile tyre fitting

Your NCT5 would be £67.90 fully balanced and fitted at your place.

Recommended them to my M.D. for his Discovery and he saved £20 a tyre over his usual supplier.......didn't see a share though ;-)

we used a local independant tyre fitter in Pocklington East Yorkshire - Peter Wynn tyres

great service
not bad price

AND they recommended a great workshop to fix my alloy that had got a chip out of it

Or ask the question at your dive club if anyone knows where to get cheap tyres and the answer would be to go see another club member who owns a tyre depot in Risca
