My advice is escalate it to a claim. As a non receipt of goods claim the seller will have to prove that he has posted it by supplying tracking evidence to Paypal. He will have 10 days to do this. If he cannot, and it seems he cant Paypal will rule in your favour and you will have your money back. I would avoid anymore direct contact with the seller, you will only make any kind of legal case weaker

| What they said File a dispute with PayPal. They should refund your money. The seller can claim back from Royal Mail. If it was sent recorded, have you asked for the tracking number?

I asked him for the name and number of the officer dealing with the incident and also the incident number. He has responded saying I will get my money back and there is no need for me to contact the Police, as its a Royal Mail issue!!!! The complete opposite of what he said 12hrs ago!! He is a certified nutter

If you do get you money back, great, BUT I would still report him to ebay, just so they have it on record if he tries this kind of thing again good luck

This guy sounds like an idiot........ Did you pay over £100 & was your PayPal payment funded by your credit card, if so you should have legal protection through them as they are indirectly accountable?

hi ya. i had a same problem a couple of weeks ago..... you need to report the item to ebay as not recieved,in the datails put that you have asked for tracking no as he sated that was sent recorded delivery and he wont supply the no,state that he is not responding to e-mails and you have supplied a contact no and he still is not respnding and that you have given him enough time to settle this. state you have asked for a refund and he is not responding, paypal will take over that matter and contact him,if he does not reply then they will refund you and take the matter further.... if he does reply through paypal state that you want a refund as not recieved goods and he has a certain time to do this....if paypal thinks that he is wrong then they will suspend he's account and refund you and get the money back of him......job done..... you need to report people like this....... hope this helps you

Same as what the rest say. Its not your responsibility, Escalate it at paypal as Item not delivered. When you do this Paypal "ringfence" your money in his account. He cannot withdraw it and he has to provide tracking numbers etc to paypal. He may be stalling for any reason. If there is a valid claim with Royal Mail - He has to take it up with them, regardless of any small print/terms he may have put on his listing. Marc
