You medical types - cancer

Last November my mother died 10 days after we were told she had cancer, basically all her lower adomen was full of the evil stuff. as it was sad at the time , BUT a god send that there wasn't any long term suffering, it was a blessing in disguise.

NOW,

At christmas , my wife noticed that she had 2 lumps starting to grow and was painful , on her wrist just below her watchstrap. It has affected her arm as it is arching all the time , and even finding it difficult to change gear in her car.

She had a sample taken out of it 10 days ago, and we have been told that a truma has grown in her wrist joint, and has displayed like a mushroom as it hits her skin,,,,,,,, there are cancer cell's present and she now has to go in for a op to have them removed....... it's not the spreading type , but just gets bigger and isn't dangerous.

Has anyone else heard that cancer cells can effect the wrist joint ?

thanks in advance......

A worried hubby.

Hi Andy,

don't know a thing about different types of cancers.

Just glad to hear that your wife's condition isn't life threatening or spreadable (wrong term I'm sure but you get the gist).

Hope op goes well and that she's back to rights PDQ.

All the best, John

from the limited understanding I have from when FIL had 'issues' .

Cancer can affect any tissue type, the best thing you can do you already have by seeking medical advice. Not all cancer is terminal DO NOT WORRY .

when i was 17 I had a large cyst removed from my shoulder that had some abnormal cells in it I worried for weeks until the Docs explained that not all types are terminal and if they get them removed in time things will be OK

she will be fine if the doc has said it is not dangerous
