Shattered lives?

Have any of you heard the HSE advert about 'shattered lives".

Is it just me or does anyone else think the slogan should be:-

Prevent slips and trips!
PAY ATTENTION to what you are doing you dozy fcuker!

That advert was immediately followed by one for those poxy blame & claim lawyer leech firms.

Oh well, I suppose it's a better advert than mine - prevent trips and slips, don't go on a skiing holiday or don't do drugs at Holiday on Ice.

Is anyone ever actually responsible for their own actions any more or is someone else ALWAYS to blame?

God will never reappear on the earth due to all the liability suits he'd get served with.

Yes that ad has been annoying me recently and I must admit to once shouting at the radio "Avoid slips, trips and falls by looking where you're bloody going!" - it had been a hard day though

why? do you think H&S is not your responsibility? Do you walk past when you see something unsafe in work?

at work you have a duty to others as prescribed in HASAWA 1974.

this means if you see a pool of grease then dont walk by report it or better still clean it up.

trailing cable, majke sure it cant trip somebody up.

biggest cause of injury at work- slips trips and falls , all down to in the greater extent poor housekeeping.

the biggest Killer in work - Falls from height and yes this means at any height. falling from a kerb is a work at height issue.

if peole thought about what they do instead of just doing it there would be no need.

heres a video to make you think

H&S, like the unions did, has gone way too far in interfering in life. Along with bloody insurance companies and those other leeches the blame and claim lawyers I can foresee the ruin of society.

People are afraid or just can't be (or soon won't want to be) arsed to 'do anything' anymore because of the above. As an example, who the hell would want to organize a bonfire night anymore. Would we be allowed to stand within 100 yards?

Beaurocracy going mad, I say!

Naturally these are my own unsubstantiated opinions based on eyes that can see for 50 years.
