| open the kitchen door to the outside to give it an escape route. get your mop/broom and bang the side of the oven. the car should bolt for the open door.

If you leave an escape route available and force it round slowly towards the exit, will it not go? To maintain my image I would suggest one of these.

| If it's hiding under the oven then it is not going to leap at you unless you provoke it. Go and open the outside door and don't be such a pussy! Good luck. Get the TCP ready!

| Sounds like not your cat is just as terrified and trapped as you are. I like the sardine tin idea - and whilst not your cat is merrily stuffing its face and deciding to become your friend, then you can open the back door so it can make its exit in a calm manner. However, don't forget, once having fed not your cat with a tin of sardines, its bound to come back for more.... |

| Can't be that big a cat if it can fit under an oven, or a very flat cat. Let the poor thing out.
