Why is it that...

For the first year in my entire life we've had no decent snowfall at all in winter.

...and now we get to spring there's a sodding blizzard outside!

I was thinking the same..... maybe my buddy will text and cancel. But I won't.... see you in a bit Derek. Maybe there will be some spaces in the bottom car park.... you never know.

It just makes me wonder about all those guys that got up at 4am...did they have to dig themselves out...?

Welcome to England

I am sitting here waiting for the kettle to boil and SWMBO to wake up. Snow always puts her in a good mood

Irritating isn't it, I'm supposed to be on my way to Capenwray but can't get out of the village guess what? yes the council hasn't gritted any of the roads, including the main one, a gritter passed me on my second attempt to get out of the South end of the village, but there was soooo little grit coming out he might as well have stayed in bed.
My sister in law has made it in but the hills either side of the village are way too slippy to get the car up - nearly stuffed it down the bank trying at the North end
Spheres.

several inches of snow here as well and its still coming down- quite a surprise this morning given the weather we've had over the last couple of days

Eastbourne/Brighton

Either the hard boats are full or too far away or the RIB's have been canned due to anticipated "high winds" (as of Friday) and so I'm leaving for a paddle round the Marina in 6m.

Guess what? Brilliant sunshine, not a breath of wind and a beautiful morning.....
