And now the Sports News........

And here, with a quick round-up of the results of last night's games, is Rab Chip O'Shoulder:


Holland = 6

Scotland = Podgered Rotten and tanned mercilessly a la Ronson, with Holland casually wiping its Johnson on Scotland's curtains afterwards before tossing some loose change on to the dresser and then leaving....

In a somewhat sombre interview after the match, the Scottish Manager, Bertie I'm No-a-Jock, was asked: "So did Scotland prove anything tonight?" to which he replied: "Ya, vee proved dat when fanz standing around in ginger vigs and ceaselessly banging on about dis 'Oh Flower of Scottishland' stuff is called for, vee lead the world...."

Later that night, back in Amsterdam, we tried to interview a contingent of the Scottish fans who'd missed their train. However, the only one who'd speak to camera was all 'bonged-out' and pseudo-commatose and kept repeating, mantra-fashion: "It's no us what cause the fights, ken, it's them Inglish bazzards....."

After fifteen renditions of the same message, we left him to his pile of vomit and went looking for a curry house.
