| A footy question, public transport and a good show :) Well, what an afternoon we have had. A few weeks ago, my son was lucky enough to win a competition run by Reading Royals. He devised a question to ask the players, and the prize was to meet some of them ask the question,a nd generally have a bit of fun at the Madjeski Stadium. His question was 'What would you say is the most important skill for a wing back?' (he plays wing back in the local U11 league, and is rather good apparently). I didn't understand the answer... something about one on one and not letting soemone get goalside. When he was told he had won, we had a huge dilemma, as the date was the same as those on the tickets we had to see Joseph. Timing was tight... MadStad 4-5pm, Adelphi 7pm. Two hours is not long and home to central london takes an hour and a half on a good day outside rush hour. Anyway, we decided he had to meet the players, and if we were late for the show, we might or might not be allowed in. That was the risk. He was out the MadStad door by 5.03 (not bad, considering he was with his dad in their favourite place!). Luckily, traffic and the trains were on our side, and by 5.58 we were at Paddington. We even had time to grab a sandwich on our way up the road and were in our seats with plenty of time.... which was better than the coachload of schoolkids that arrived at 7:10 I saw Joseph when it went on tour about 30 years ago, and thoroughly enjoyed it, but that was nothing compared to the current show. We had watched the TV show that picked Lee Mead to play Joseph. He was pretty good on the telly, but live, he was absolutely brilliant (and has rather nice legs and his bum isn't bad, either The scenery was excellent. they not only had a lovely muliticoloured coat, but depicting the farmers, they had multicoloured sheep until the famin hit, then they were skeleton sheep) Master Scubee really enjoyed it - even the characterisation of the Pharaoh... he was a brilliant Elvis! so... Public transport worked for us today, and if you want to go to a decent show, go see Joseph. Well worth it... !
