Digs Crapi's are ok especially the 2.8is and the Brooklands but come on get a real Ford, the scort's are the real toys.

OSCAR (OSC918V) had a LSD, five speed box, 2.1 conversation, twin 44IDF Downdraughts, janspeed exhaust and was great fun to drive!

There are a good few website's forums dedicated to old skool fords, Im sure even with poor taste and a Crapi you will have plenty of fun.

(I traced Oscar via one of these sites, he is still road going back to near standard and somebody changed his colour to white!)


I've also had a 911 which was even more fun to drive and when I put it in the bushes I only had to replace the front end

down draughts as a performance part on a pinto engine . were you madm thats more 90 degree bends than you need.



twin side draughts were more efficient.

DCOEs were fairly good


I had the luck/misfortune to blueprint a RS2000 ustom engine. never again.

Well with the Pinto and DCOE's the battery tray had to come out, I liked the xpack engine style RS's, the downdraughts had a great induction noise.

It was nice to have something a bit different.

I liked MK2 Escorts... I had a few.
1100 pop plus
1300 sport
1600 ghia
1600 van (had the inside all carpeted and had a binatone music centre fitted in it, pure comedy)
RS2000

oh and a great wee Anglia 105E 1200 super

Buy a 2.8 Manta, will show a Capri the way home on any road with a bend in it.

Why is that when Ford were building total junk like this, people bought it, now with cars like the focus and Mondeo, they are outsold by BMW??????

my step dad had one of these a white manta gte looked like concorde going up the drive then he went all odd took up shooting and got a range rover, hes made up for it now as he drives a westfield thats when its not raining to much
