I can sympathise with you now.
Since moving to our house nearly 2 years ago we've been regularly catching little mices in our loft (little buggers caused a lot of mess).
Had some friends round for the weekend and after much drinking and merryment on Friday we all retired and as I was in bed first I pointed to the bedroom wall and in a half drunken manor I slurred to the missus "there's something in the wall as I heard scuffling!" and promptly went to sleep.

Wifey and friends took the p*ss on Saturday and Sunday saying I was drunk and next thing it'll be Pink Elephants etc! However, one of our dogs was looking into our bedroom with great inquisitiveness, turning its head from side to side so I went to investigate. There was a little mouse near the chest of drawers in the bedroom, "who'se p*ssed now I shouted and demanded" an apology from wifey, who was too scared to come anywhere near.

Result was that we slept in the spare bedroom after I put some traps down. I checked them first thing this morning before I wen to take the dogs out. Sadly, whilst I was clearing the frost from the car windows, wifey appeared practically half naked at the front door screaming at the top of her voice that she had seen the mouse in the bedroom when she went to collect some clothes and probably frightened the poor little sod to death.

So, its battlestations now and the ammo is coming out in anticipation. However, next time I mention I've seen or heard something whilst being drunk, she'll have to take more notice in future.

There doesn't appear to be a 'Napalm' option, so I suggested you move to Weymouth.

Napalm not required.
Moving to Weymouth isn't needed yet either (my ex will be pleased )

the Mouse is GONE!!

It came out of the kitchen and got cornered, then the Mummy Cat trapped it under a tiny lid and removed it to the horse field.

I expect the horse has stomped on it already and my rescue attempts were in vain.

Nah - they're nippy wee buggers (I did my degree dissertation on wood mice and bank voles. What an exciting life I had). On the cat theme - does anyone else's cat(s) like the smell of bleach? My cat goes bonkers when he smells bleach on my hands - or he rolls around in the sink if it's been bleached.

Mine quite often stick their head down the loo, so they might do ... I never connected that behaviour with the smell of bleach.

I can quite categorically state that this behaviour does not proove that cats like the smell of bleach. I also "quite often stick my head down the loo" but this is usually only on a Saturday or Sunday morning, and I can assure you the smell of bleach only makes things much worse

PS where was the option for "Play the 'girly card' and get a man to do it"?

Sadly, our little moose that was running rampage in our bedroom is no more. I trapped it in the wardrobe and sqashed it against some plastic boxes, then disposed of it promptly in the bin. R.I.P. oh furry little critter

urgh. I hope you cleaned up the little bits of fur that stuck to the boxes.

I on the other hand managed to capture mine and release it humanely
