After today's little exercise I truly deserve it

Jumped in today off Smooth Hound to dive the Kyarra, the tide was still running hard as we jumped and at the surface Uwila and I exchanged OK and down signals and I started down the shot. hauling myself down the line and with two hands I was flapping in the current like a flag. I took one hand off the line to squeeze a little air into my suit, suddenly my mask started to flood and then was gone. less than 3m down and no mask, spare in my car which was back at Uwila's all because I got back from Spain last night and instead of sorting kit, unpacking etc I'd jumped at the chance of rushing around, getting up at stupid O-Clock to dive our wonderful English riviera.

So my muppet status is good for another week. Cheers guys.

Sorry the dive was cut short, but from what I hear the viz was shite anyway, so a mask or not you would have seen diddly squat.

Tsk...I carry a spare in a little pouch

Look at it this way Pete, your ascent rate was perfect this time

PS You missed the bit about you starting off the wrong way along the shot line and ending up loosing it and drifting down current...I think that makes your status valid for a fortnight minimum

Not true - he would have been able to see my new Sartek HID - it's lovely and bright.

I was just trying to untangle you from the line that you'd managed to tie round your twins and even after I'd done it you still felt the need to haul the pill down with you for a good bit of the way. I know when we dive I make you look good but try not to get too carried away.
