Nokia 6110 Navigator
Just ordered one from Vodaphone as they are giving me a free upgrade, phone arrives on Tuesday.

This phone comes with free GB and Ireland mapping.
It is supported by Route 66

Does anyone know the cheapest place i can get France/Europe maps. Or a snide set that will work

I need France coz we got well lost in February trying to drive back from La Toussuire to Grenoble airport after skiing.

If you can use Nokia Maps on it (and I guess you can!), then all the maps are free to download. The entire world (or at least that which they have mapped).

Looking here indicates your phone will come with it pre-installed. Simple download the 'Map-Loader' then you can load any maps you want (beware, it is quite slow, I reckon it was 30 minutes+ for France).

Mr Bobaggins!! I am shocked ney I am mortified at what you typed. A snide copy indeed! Whats wrong with a paper map? I get it now, too difficult to map read and you need a womans voice telling you to turn left and at next junction turn right?

I got so pi**ed off driving round Grenoble with two female voices in the car giving me directions. One the wife and the other the sister in law, i vowed that for next years ski trip i would get a sat nav system.

Well as vodaphone are giving me a freebie upgrade, i thought the 6110 nav would solve the problem.

Trouble is it comes with GB and Ireland and i really need france.

I would not buy snide really!!!!!!!
