John Smiths wasn't that bad when I lived over there, I was more of a Stones fan myself.
My tip to make it more of a Southern drink is to pour it, leave it for 2 hours so it goes as flat as a fart, Bobs ye uncle
Hope this helps.
Personaly I have a nice glass of Bushmills, without diet coke.

The problem is that it has a wigit in the can, which makes a frothy head, which is what the nurvun munkees want, but what they dont realise is that it makes the beer flat. l'd rather no froth but a lively beer.
John Smiths on tap is ok, but out of the can - the only thing you can say is it's better than lager.
