Keep an eye on here Si: porsche sales. used porsche for sale uk. Porsche 911. Porsche Boxster. Porsche 944. Porsche 928. They sometimes have some "affordable" Porsches......

I never owned a 911, but i did have a 944 turbo....great fun, expensive and broke the bank, but well worth it

Ooo, cheers Steve. I'm thinking that maybe in a year or so maybe I should just splash out and have some fun. Even if I only have it for 6 months they seem to hold their value and at least I've owned my dream

Fixed is worth trying out for a while, best to go ss-freewheel at first though - if thats you route.

Just be carefull and dont end up like the clowns argueing about it here
Hipsterpad.com - Article Directory - Got hip?

Who knew that hipsters where a such a bunch of snobs?

The problem with taking it right back to its original parts, is that most of them were not that great - in comparison to the dual-calliper brakes and saddles available today. You either have to go super-anal about it and hunt out the right bar-ribbon and saddle etc, or dont bother at all and replace the nackered parts with whatever works.

Chrome bag? I'm so unhip these days I dont know what that is.

I suppose I'd be Post-hipster-urban-athlete casual-AtoB proffesional, rucksack or recumbent specific luggage depending on what I'm riding that day.

You?

'fraid I'm one of the Hipster lot. S/S (albeit freewheel), courier bag, rolled up jeans and a t-shirt.

But I WAS a courier at one time, so I feel justified.

Recumbant - would love to have a go at one of them. Or a nice vintage delivery bike to cart dive gear around london.

"Specialist cycles for specialist people"? Sounds like a fun job!

I just scored one of these to add to the stable just for that purpose, though its big brother the Filibus would do the job better.

Some days are better than others, but mostly I work with great people and play with bikes all day.

Don't worry, I'm not. Cycling isn't about being a good cyclist, it's about looking cool. And I know I look cool as I plow through a pedstrian crossing 'cause I've got no brakes on me fixie, can't see for my hipster sunnies and can't skid stop properly!

I was thinking more along these lines:
