OK, so not much here for the aspiring "yes, actually I've got quite eclectic tastes in music....." wallah, but then quality will out - and last and sell by the truck-load!

And, cue stratched-heads from the 'young people'......

What about Johnny Marr, Mark Knopfler and that 'grinning monkey' from Level 42?

From the list it has to be Richie for me.  Although, I would have liked to see Iommi, Moore and Angus up there (the latter is no great guitarist but Jeez, what energy and excellent fun!).

Well

Had to be Eric, but what about King Carlos Santana and Brian May?

From the list Bren I'd have to say Hendrix. I do note though that Wes Borland from Limp Bizkit was missing from the list

ohhh... so many others to consider: Stevie Vai, Frank Zappa, Adrian Belew, Joe Satriani but please no votes for "Wingie Malstreem" and his "hear my 75 different scales per song" stylee
I voted for Hendrix though

PS two guys who are red hot guitarists but I doubt anyone will give them a mention here, are George Benson and... Glen Campbell (seriously!)
