Oh Pooo I have to spend the day in Belfast

I have a meeting in Belfast but all the flights home at decent times are booked. I now have to spend the whole of friday afternoon wandering the streets waiting for a 18.45 flight............er is there any thing to do in belfast?

you could do one of the black taxi tours - its an official tourist thing that shows you the reminants from Belfasts recent past, very interesting.

Or

go to the crown bar and have a few jars, cracking historic pub in the city. centre

we went to belfast years ago, must be at least 10 anyhow,
i loved it, did all the tourist things.
would jump at the chance to go again

I stayed in the Europa (?) Hotel about 15 years ago. There was a fantastic old pub opposite, is that the same one? Had a great time!!!

The open top bus was a good way to spend a couple of hours too.
Agreed on The Crown, great atmosphere, lovely pub , excellent Guiness.

That's the one. Really interesting place, although a bit 'touristy' now. I seem to recall you are supposed to spit on the crown on the doorwell, depending on your religious 'persuasion'.

Isn't that the most bombed hotel in Europe? (well it used to be).

The Black Cab tours are interesting - if a little bit 'hairy' (well, they are if you are ex forces!)
