| I assume the 'bollocks' thing originated from saying "talking bollocks"; that is to say that one is speaking without thought or consideration or from a base position governed by anything but coherent thought? Just like a bloke around a sexy woman? Dogs bollocks? Possibly an extension of saying like 'the cat's whiskers' presumably after drinking the cream? Then you get the 'bee's knees' which rhymes but is nonsensical. After that you get 'dog's bollocks' or 'mutt's nuts' etc. I suppose you could say that something is good and easily identifiable just like a dog's bollocks which are in plain view? In short, I don't have a clue and am 'talking bollocks'!
