The first time i did it was as a 16 year old Junior Leader using the paths, the last time was on the Platoon Sergeants Battle Course i had a GPMG all the way up Jacobs Ladder

A guy from Pathfinder Platoon had a gun next to me up Jacobs Ladder and like a friggin ijit i tried to keep up with him

Brecon tended to start on the old Roman Road, up through Windy Gap, along under Crybin then up Jacobs Ladder, then the knee popper down to the Storey Arms (Which i think closed down some years ago). 8 miles ICFT tests at the end

Oooh I read the words junior leader and memories of happy holidays with relatives at Bovington Camp as a teenager flooded in.

Well, apart from living 4,000 miles away, my highest point is 64' above sea level, so Wales or any other hilly district is a no go....
