So its 7am and kirky is having his first coffee and fag of the day when a mouse ran out from under me fridge - saw me (yep - I look like sh1t in the morning) and ran back again.

Told Mrs K who screamed the place down.......................

So the question is, whats the quickest and most effective way to get the bazzer.

Bought one of them "Im gonna decapitate you" mousetraps but whats best to put in it. Daughter says cheese (Mrs K says "weve only got low fat cheese in"....(FFS) and neighbour says chocolate.

What does the eminent board reckon.....?

<font color='#0000FF'>We had mice....went and bought humane traps as had inquisitive 4 year old at time.......bloke in hardware shop winked and smirked at Ian as if to say &quot;Little woman's all sensitive, eh?&quot;
Thought about telling him that I spent several months for a project pulling chicks out of their eggs and chopping their heads of with a pair of scissors while they struggled.....or even the ultimate &quot;look mate you haven't got anything that i haven't cut of a dead body..........&quot;
But I digress.....
rats certainly love chocolate, but cereal worked for us. &nbsp;Mind you now that we have the ferrets, don't think that we'll have a problem with mice

Good luck

Dunno about bait, but the best place to put it is by the wall - apparently rodents will tend to run around the perimeter of a room instead of venturing across the floor.

Do use traps, if you use loose poison there is a good chance the mouse will die where you can't get at it. Then you will be really unhappy.

Don't forget you have to find and block the holes where it is getting in.

<font color='#000080'>I like a 12 bore for mice. Does the job nicely. leaving only a small stain where they were. And can leave a bit of a mess if your plaster's loose, so watch out.

Ooo, ferrets - we were thinking about getting them, but then my gf complained that we didn't have enough space in the flat.

Maybe if I get some mice from a petshop and let them loose to be screamed at she'll change her mind

What're their names?

<font color='#000080'>I will lend you the cat!

A bit of digestive biccie secured with blue tack at the bait end of the trap will do it. &nbsp;As tom said, put it somewhere quiet where the mouse is probably gonna go. &nbsp;Oh yeah, and when you do catch it, let it go well away from the house - like a couple of streets away, or it will just come back.

I have 2.5 cats...one only half belongs to me, it just sleeps and eats and cuddles here...

As for mice, when I still had that problem, I had the best results with leftover pizza...honest! The perimeter strategy is correct as well.

In truth I don't actually have the cats, they merely take advantage of the fact that we humans are suckers for cute furry creatures, I'm just the mug who buys the food for these semi-feral ingrates &nbsp;
